Lockheed Martin Marietta Site Delivers 1,000th F-35 Center Wing Assembly

MARIETTA, Ga., April 9, 2025 – Today, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) celebrated the delivery of the 1,000th F-35 Center Wing Assembly (CWA) from the Marietta site, a testament to the team's hard work and the progress of the F-35 program.
Approximately 1,200 people are assigned to the F-35 program at Lockheed Martin in Marietta. An additional 29 supplier partners across Georgia collectively drive a $671 million economic impact annually in the state

The Marietta site has a rich legacy of producing cutting-edge military aircraft, including the F-22 Raptor 5th Generation fighter jet, and continues to build on this strong foundation in 5th Generation aircraft production.
The CWA represents approximately one quarter of the F-35's fuselage and is the aircraft’s largest single component. The F-35's wings are attached to the CWA during final assembly, which takes place in Fort Worth, Texas.
The F-35 is the most advanced, connected, and lethal fighter aircraft in production today, with a proven combat performance and strong operational reliability. With 12 nations operating across the global fleet, more than 600,000 sorties completed, and more than a million flight hours, the F-35 has proven its competitive advantage.
