Graduation Day: First Polish F-35 Pilots Complete Training at Ebbing Air National Guard Base

As the newly designated home of F-35 foreign military sales (FMS) training, Ebbing Air National Guard Base quickly adapted to support the training needs of Poland and other international partners.

Level Up

The first class of Polish F-35 pilots recently graduated from Ebbing Air National Guard Base on May 9th, marking a significant step forward and establishing the base as a premier training facility for international F-35 customers.

The F-35 Training and Logistics team at Eglin Air Force Base provided the pilots initial F-35 training, utilizing a combination of classroom instruction and full mission simulator training to ensure they have the skills needed to successfully transition to their aircraft.

As construction of the schoolhouse and simulator facilities at Ebbing commences, the team is working tirelessly to ensure that pilots receive uninterrupted training and support.

Teamwork in Action

The Lockheed Martin team has been instrumental in building the infrastructure to support the arrival of the first F-35 aircraft for Poland, working closely with Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and FMS customers to ensure a seamless transition.

The team will also support the arrival of Finnish F-35 jets in 2026, further solidifying Ebbing's position as a hub for international F-35 training.
