F-35s And F-16s Go Dutch

Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) F-35s and F-16s have been practicing joint operations from Edwards Air Force Base in California over the last two weeks.

The training is part of the F-35's operational test and evaluation phase, together with the UK and U.S., in what RNLAF F-35 pilot Maj. Pascal Smaal ("Smiley") describes in hisblogas "a mini-Red Flag". Dutch participation consists of two F-35s, six F-16s and a KDC-10 tanker.
