Partnerships Soar at International Air Shows

Creating an unprecedented fighter takes unprecedented collaboration. Global partnerships and technological innovation are the building blocks of the F-35 program. Developed, produced and supported by an international team of leading aerospace companies, the F-35 represents a new era of international collaboration and these global partnerships are essential to the success of the F-35 Lightning II.

The F-35 is making its international air show debut this summer at several shows across Europe:

The world-famous Farnborough International Airshow will be hosted at Hampshire, Farnborough Airport, July 16-17, 2016. The F-35 will take part in daily flying displays; in addition, the F-35 full scale model will be open for the public to visit. Visit the show webpage for more information.

 The Royal International Air Tattoo is one of the world’s premier airshows, and this year’s show was hosted at RAF Fairford July 8-10, 2016. 

This year’s show looked to the future with the theme: The Next Generation: Inspiring Innovation. The F-35 took part in daily flying displays; in addition, the F-35 full scale model will be open for the public to visit. Visit the show webpage for more information.

Luchtmachtdagen – Royal Netherlands Air Force Open Days
The Royal Netherlands Air Force is slated to host the 2016 Open Days at Leeuwarden Air Base, June 10-11, 2016. The F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter will be on static display at the show and show attendees will have the opportunity to view exciting aerial displays and exhibits, including a full scale mock-up of the F-35. Belgium Air Force Days 2016
The Belgian Air Component will host the 2016 Belgian Air Force Days at Florennes Air Base, Belgium, June 25-26, 2016. The Belgian Air Force is celebrating their 70th anniversary, so this will be a show to remember! Show attendees can see the F-35 full scale model, and children visiting the show will have the chance to build and take home an F-35 toy when they visit the Lockheed Martin Tech Zone tent.
