Lockheed Martin has been a trusted partner for Spain's national defence, industry, and economy for more than 50 years.
Lockheed Martin has been a trusted partner for Spain's national defence, industry, and economy for more than 50 years. It has collaborated with key Spanish industrial partners to grow local manufacturing capability, deliver over €1 billion economic benefit to the Spanish economy in their Air, Sea and Space sectors and support hundreds of Spanish jobs.
Working with Lockheed Martin, Spain has become a key member in the Global Aegis partnership and the Sikorsky MH-60R programme worldwide supporting NATO partners and global allies.

Lockheed Martin has been a partner in Spain’s security and prosperity since 1973 when its Air Force acquired P-3A Orions and C-130 Hercules.
Since then our 50-year relationship with Spain has grown to deliver and support the Spanish Navy’s SH-60B SeaHawk helicopter fleet delivered in 1988, and then in 1997 the Aegis Combat System and SPY-1D radar for Spain’s new F-100 frigates, built by Navantia. Our combat systems have also been adopted onto Spain’s S-80 Isaac-Peral class submarines, and new F-110 frigates.
Our relationship with Navantia has also led to winning naval platform programmes such as Norway’s Fridtjof Nansen Class Frigate programme and the Australian Hobart-Class destroyer programme.
This cooperation has also created the National Spanish Combat System Capability, resulting in the development of Spain’s own indigenous capability.
Most recently the Spanish Navy purchased eight Sikorsky MH-60R helicopters to replace some of its SH-60Bs, significantly growing its interoperability with other MH-60R operators.

Industry partnerships between the United States and allied nations play a vital role in ensuring supply security and advancing systems that support resiliency, readiness and deterrence for both partners.
Lockheed Martin and Spanish industry have collaborated for more than 50 years to strengthen transatlantic security by developing, producing and integrating systems for the Spanish government and its allies. These efforts support jobs on both sides of the Atlantic and enhance interoperability with NATO partners.
We currently work with over 13 Spanish partners including Indra, Navantia, Sener, Arqimea, GMV and the Ikerbasque Research Centre on Quantum Technologies among others, and have helped create over 900 Spanish jobs and €1.6 Billion of value to the Spanish economy.
The technologies from our partnerships are now exported to over 27 countries, with export orders worth €2 Billion to date.
Partnership with Lockheed Martin will continue to provide Spain with access to global exports, and will position Spain to take a leadership role in future multilateral defence initiatives.
