DELIVERING PILOT TRAINING SINCE 2018   ___

As the prime contractor for the Australian Defence Force’s AIR5428 Pilot Training System, supported by our “Team 21” partners Pilatus and Jet Aviation, Lockheed Martin Australia is responsible for delivering an integrated training solution tailored for all future pilots of the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army.

This includes bringing together all components of the next-generation AIR5428 Pilot Training System, from classroom to cockpit, in partnership with Defence and Australian industry.

The AIR5428 Pilot Training System encompasses: 49 PC-21 aircraft, 9 Flight Training Devices, 6 Cockpit Procedural Trainers, students’ learning environment, mission planning and debriefing systems, maintenance facilities, training courseware, and support and logistics sustainment systems. In addition to being the prime contractor and training systems integrator, Lockheed Martin Australia also delivers the Pilot Training System’s ground-based synthetic training aids and courseware.
